Title : Contamination of chicken feeding

Observation: In my community,  I observed that the chickens are less productive, very sick, and they produce fewer eggs. Hence, that has made me to believe there has been contamination of chicken feed.

Analyze: The local farmers of my community had sued  Kuenden Chicken Feed for the contamination of chicken feed which not only decreased productivity but also killed the chickens they owned.  

Solution: Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regulatory Authority (BAFRA) did a through investigation into the matter and found out that feeds were contaminated. So,  Kuenden Chicken Feed company not only had to apologize to the local farmers but also had to compensate for the loss incurred.

Relate to personal life and the wider world?

In my personal life, I could not eat eggs as a daily food because the risk of the contamination was high, due to that   my body nutrient requirement was impacted significantly. If this was a common issue at an international level, there would have been thousands of  both humans and chickens  would have died which can trigger a  nutritional crisis.

What is the consequence in your personal life and the world?

Since, eggs are one the most consumed products in Bhutan  it can directly hit people who consume them in both small and big quantities . Eggs are a great source of proteins and  minerals, so it can put a nation into panic.
